Christina Aguilera has new music on the way and it’s excited her fans and contemporaries in equal measure.

Case in point Justin Timberlake.

Xtina sent her supporters into a frenzy when she shared a clip of herself in the studio and captioned the snap with the question Is everybody ready?

Her former touring partner JT was one of the many who replied. He said:

“Whatever this is, I’m ready AF #GreatestVoiceOfOurGeneration”

The pair – both now 40 – have a long history together. Indeed, they both hit the spotlight via The Mickey Mouse Club, broke through as recording artists at similar times, and went on to hit the road together on The Justified & Stripped Tour in 2003.

With both cooking up new music, would you be here for the RCA label-mates collaborating? Surely, it’s overdue at this point?

Your thoughts?

Nonsense. Beyonces more technically competent and has arguably had more vocal impact and influence on her generation and those that have followed than Xtina ever has.

Voice of the generation was a term coined by non singing, Rolling Stone writer and it just caught on. It means nothing.

Justins out here just hyping up his childhood friend. His half singing ass has zero technical knowledge.

    • truthtea April 2, 2021

You do realize that Whitney Houston herself including Etta James have labeled Xtina The Voice of Our Generation, right?

      • Scoopz April 2, 2021

Truth tea- If youre gonna call yourself that please try and live up to your name or kindly change it.

No they did not. Whitney said Xtina did the best cover of run to you she had heard at that point (2002) and Etta said she loved Xtinas take on At Last. That is all. Happy to be proven wrong. Link me to some credible sources or drop it.

These legends wouldn’t even mention her name if she was not one of the best of our generation. Christina zéro technical? Bro, what kind of weed do you smoke? You clearly don’t know nothing bout music, you’re just a clown.

  3. Shayla Queen 👑 April 2, 2021

This is 💯 Christina is THE voice of the last two decades.

  4. eric April 2, 2021

I haven’t liked Christina’s music since Back to Basics and the new Mulan songs. I hope she’s recording some great stuff in that studio.

  5. Ev April 2, 2021

No she is not the greatest voice of our generation we are going to have to go with Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia Barrino, or even Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Brandy, or so many others so it’s a no for me.

  6. IKNOWTHETRUTH April 2, 2021

MARIAH SOMEWHERE HAVIN A GOOD LAUGH 😂😂😂. JUSTINE ALWAYS TRYIN IT

  7. Carlos April 2, 2021

I see no lies. The locals are gonna be fuming today!

  8. Pat April 2, 2021

She started out with that potential but went downhill with pitchy flat messy vocals. Beyonce is a good singer but not naturally flawless like Whitney so her performances come across robotic and emotionless cuz she’s trying to be too perfect. *plays Whitney n mariah

  9. Steve April 2, 2021

    She oversings and it’s obnoxious.

  10. Liam April 2, 2021

I would say she is one of them…but I would say Kelly Clarkson or Pink should get that title! Beyoncé is a technical vocal beast but I wouldn’t give her that title tho

  11. Section8DaGreat April 2, 2021

Child, I done heard Christina’s voice crack way more times than Rihanna’s. Justin don’t ever disrespect Brandy, Beyoncé and Jazmine Sullivan. Are you high?

  12. Keith April 2, 2021

Not here for a collaboration between the two, but I AM here for new Xtina music…

  13. LM April 2, 2021

    Her voice is amazing

  14. Beyhive April 2, 2021

All the weave and hair flips in the world won’t distract me from the fact that Christina can sing Beyoncé under a table. I hate Justin but as far as the post-Whitney/Mimi/Celine generation Justine is correct. But f*** him lol.

    • Scoopz April 2, 2021

All Xtina has over Beyonce is greater power. Tone and emotion are subjective. All other areas Beyonce rocks Xtina without question. Greater control, volume dynamics, agility, supported range, vibrato, pitch accuracy, stamina and overall consistency.

All we have on here are a load of average joes with little to no technical knowledge being fooled by “soulful” pitchy, tension ridden hollering.

Beyonce technically outdoes this chick by miles. Once you take the time to actually learn vocal pedagogy you’ll be able to effective critically analyse a singers vocal makeup instead of being bamboozled by a showy performance with a poor technical foundation

      • BeyHIVdestroyer April 3, 2021

“Once you take the time to actually learn vocal pedagogy you’ll be able to effective critically analyse a singers vocal makeup”

Lol. I’m a professional recording artist trained under Seth Riggs. Dynamics, vibrato, diaphragm support, speech level singing, and soulful belting are areas in which Christina easily destroys anything Beyonce will ever, ever sing. Beyonce could never carry a non-belting song like “Beautiful” the way Christina can nor is her version of “At Last” in the same league as Christina’s genuinely soulful version. Don’t even get me started on Beyonce’s uninspired “I Will Always Love You” compared to Christina’s versions. Beyonce’s best ballad is Halo. Really?! Halo vs Reflection or Beautiful or I Turn To You or anything lol.

Your comment about Christina’s hollering makes it obvious your opinion is based off a handful of Christina’s worst moments, but those don’t take away from the fact that she still has her voice (even if she could use a little live restraint). Beyonce has more control, but she doesn’t have a massive voice like Christina so that’s to be expected (just like Taylor Swift’s voice is easier to control than Mariah Carey’s lol).

Christina’s low notes are rich. Beyonce’s are thin. Her belts bring the house down. Beyonce’s are sweet and pretty. Christina can hold her vibrato longer than Beyonce. She can be super loud (At Last) or do convincingly sweet bubblegum pop (Genie In A Bottle). Beyonce can’t do either dynamic convincingly; she will always be contemporary R&B. She can’t carry a song without relying on her belts (meaning no bubblegum pop, or restraint like “Beautiful”), but her belts still aren’t ever as soulful as Christina’s (Beyonce will never have an Emancipation of Mimi).

We’re talking about “voice of a generation” and Christina’s voice trumps Beyonce’s in every way except agility and consistency. Christina has the support, power, vibrato, and diaphragm Beyonce wishes she had. Christina never had to have backup singers named Kelly and Michelle.

*goes and listens to Christina slaying SWV’s Weak when she was 12 on Mickey Mouse Club*

  15. James April 2, 2021

Can’t wait for new music from Christina. She’s the Voice of this generation. I agree with Justin. She’s definitely the best of the best of our time. She needs to make another Stripped Album. The haters need to shut it!! ❤️

  16. Johan April 3, 2021

    You said it Justin !

  17. Lisa April 3, 2021

She is the voice of this generation. Singers of today are heavily influenced by her vocally.

  18. Slick April 3, 2021

I gotta agree about Xtina. I love JHuds voice (damn that power). Unfortunately for her she hasn’t been given good material to record so her full potential has not been used. No one does a tribute like her tho. As for Xina. She may scream a tad but when she was in her prime she stood there alone in being powerful and agile. Beyoncé shouldn’t be mentioned when it comes to voice subjects. She has hits but raw vocal talent she falls short compared to these 2 ladies.

    Xtina and Jhud both #1

Y’all go check out “simply beautiful” live by Jhud.

  19. Christopher April 3, 2021

Oh he got over Britney, after using her; now he wants Christina.

  20. Lorenzo April 4, 2021

Christina is really the voice of multiple generations. No one in the current music industry has the tone, and falsetto Xtina has. The pasión and the emotion she depicts is unmeasurable. Best vocalist alive

  21. David April 4, 2021

He didn’t lie, Xtina is indeed the greatest voice of our generation. LEGEND !
