Destiny’s Child may have called it quits nearly 16 years ago, but they continue to prove their bond is stronger than ever.
For evidence, look no further than band members Beyoncé & Michelle Williams joining Kelly Rowland virtually to help her welcome her newest bundle of joy.
Still hot on the promo trail for her latest EP ‘K’ (click here to stream), Rowland was recently spotted at PeopleTV to give the scoop on the project and the latest happenings with her DC3 ‘sisters.’ To the surprise of viewers, the 40-year-old shared the ladies had a virtual reunion the day she gave birth to her second child – Noah (born January 21, 2021).
“We had our family join on Zoom,” says the ‘Coffee‘ singer while promoting her work with Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray. “They were able to see Noah come into the world. It was beautiful.”
They weren’t the only virtual guests of honor. According to Kelly, Beyoncé‘s mom – Tina Knowles Lawson – also joined the party.
The story comes just two months after Rowland took to press to share about the first time Bey and ‘Chelle met Noah. Back in February, she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’:
“The girls were literally over here at the house just recently and when they met the baby, it was like another part of my heart just … being able to share space with Michelle and Bey is truly a gift.”
Calling their ongoing friendship a ‘gift,’ Rowland continued:
“And I’m just so grateful for them and they are a highlight of my life,” she said while getting emotional. “Not professionally, but our friendship and our sisterhood — you’re going to make me cry.”
