In life, Prince‘s catalogue of music was vast. And now, posthumously, another project is set to join the Purple One’s lengthy list of releases.

The singer’s Estate has confirmed the release of the “new” album ‘Welcome 2 America’ on July 30.
Long spoken of and speculated about, word of the project first surfaced in 2010 when she legendary star embarked on a like-titled tour that spanned two years.
The lack of formal release for the LP was never addressed by Prince, who died in 2016.
As for what folk can expect, the set is billed as “a powerful creative statement that documents Prince’s concerns, hopes, and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, disinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice.”
Describing the album at the time of its creation, Prince is quoted as saying:
“The world is fraught with misin4mation. George Orwell’s vision of the future is here. We need 2 remain steadfast in faith in the trying times ahead.”
