DMX‘s Celebration of Life has brought with it a number of poignant moments, as friends and family paid tribute to the rapper who died aged just 50 on April 9.
One of the most moving moments came courtesy of one of the MC’s young daughters.
Also blessed with the gift of music, she took center stage alongside her 14 brothers and sisters and deliverd a powerful performance of an original song in honor of her father.
Watch below…
She confidently rapped:
“I’m growing, I’m learning to hold my head up…my Daddy is still holding my hand, so I got to stand up.”
Beautiful.
The event, which also reunited X’s group the Ruff Ryders, saw the likes of Eve, Nas, and Swizz Beatz pay homage to the late great MC.
Kanye West musically produced the Celebration, with his Sunday Service Choir providing the potent performances throughout.
