Nearly 5 years after dropping their joint mixtape, ‘Ignorant Sh*t,’ rappers Bow Wow and Soulja Boy are reportedly set to face off on the wildly popular #VERZUZ platform.
There’s only one problem. Did anybody tell #VERZUZ?
Taking to Instagram Saturday afternoon (May 22), Big Draco sent his fans into a big frenzy with the ‘official’ report that he was set to square up in a hit-for-hit battle with Bow Wow. The announcement comes after weeks of speculation that Bow was set to battle fellow teen rapper-turn-actor Romeo on the platform.
To respond to the hoopla, Bow (born Shad Moss) not only retweeted fan reactions to Soulja’s announcement but he also took to Twitter late Saturday afternoon to suggest he was willing to battle both Rap stars simultaneously.
Bow’s comment comes nearly a year after Timbaland – one-half of the pioneers responsible for #VERZUZ – said the rapper doesn’t have enough hits to battle anybody (click here to read more).
What’s unique about these set of announcements is that – as of time reported – the official #VERZUZ channel has yet to confirm or deny them. In every instance in the past, #VERZUZ unveils its next set of combatants before or at the same time the participants themselves do.
Nevertheless, if social media responses are anything to go by, Hip Hop fans are ready for the action.
