Yet again, Megan Thee Stallion reaffirms the age-old adage ‘slow and steady wins the race.’
The same week the GRAMMY winner learned a slew of her songs had received certification upgrades at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she found out ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ – her duet with serial hitmakers Maroon 5 – had been colored into the Hot 100’s top 20.
Found at #18 on the updated tally, look inside to see how the new peak came to be.
Despite starting on quite the slow foot, Maroon 5 and Stallion’s single has raced into the top 20 this week – cracking the chart territory for the first time since making its debut on the Hot 100 eight weeks ago. Though a mainstay in the top 40 of real-time digital sales and streaming tallies since its March 3 arrival, the latest boost can undoubtedly be attributed to the song’s performance at Pop radio as refreshed radio charts reveal ‘Mistakes’ mustered over 27 million radio airplay impressions last week alone.
And, if industry analysts are to be believed, the tune may be on its way to reach a new Hot 100 height next week. Until we find out for sure, look below to see who joins Meg and Maroon on this week’s TGJ Chart Check.
