RIAA: DJ Khaled’s ‘Khaled Khaled’ Certified GOLD in Less Than 3 Weeks

Published: Wednesday 19th May 2021 by Rashad

By the April 30 release of his 12th studio album, ‘Khaled Khaled,’ three of DJ Khaled‘s albums could boast RIAA certification status of Gold or higher.

Now, thanks to the ongoing success of the star-studded project (which features appearances from Beyonce, Drake, Jay-Z, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and more), Khaled can add another one to his growing tally of certified albums.

Of the 14 tracks that line ‘Khaled Khaled,’ nine of the songs have been granted single and/or video treatment:  “We Going Crazy” with H.E.R. and Migos“Where You From” featuring Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer, Barrington Levy, “Popstar” and “Greece” featuring Drake, “Thankful” with Lil Wayne and Jeremih“Sorry Not Sorry” featuring JAY-Z, NasJames Fauntleroy, and Beyonce, and the Lil Baby and Lil Durk-assisted “Every Chance I Get” (click here to watch them all).

As officially announced Monday (May 17), the collective sales and streaming performances of the tunes have led their parent project to Gold status – meaning it’s sold the equivalence of 500,000 copies in the United States alone.

‘Khaled Khaled’ – already the third #1 album of his career – is now the fourth DJ Khaled project certified Gold or higher. Click here to stream the LP.

Overrated. None of his latest singles are bops or Summer anthems. He peaked with Wild Thoughts.

The album was only certified gold because of the success of the Drake songs. The actual sales are less than 200K. This is project that was thrown together based on hype because the material is subpar as usual.

An Arab man is producing and selling black music better than a black people can. Congratulations to DJ Khaled!

No he isn’t selling Black music better. If Khaled was so great, artists like Jay-Z/Beyonce would create their best music with him. Instead they create mediocre tracks like ‘Shinning’. You are delusional.

For all these people to always be #1 I never hear anyone listening to any of them..might here them on the radio a time or two but as far as my next door neighbor and the next door neighbor by him or hell even the neighbors across from my street I have never heard any of them say, “At have you heard the new DJ Khaled/ Lil Nas X/ Cardi B/Megan Stallion album?”..never heard it NOTTA ONCE but congrats to him anyway…seems like popularity gets ya far

DJ NeedsAsalad is nothing more than a wedding DJ. He needs a huge list of people with clout to sell the sounds he programs on a computer.
