The Las Vegas strip is renowned for hotter than hot shows. However, heat of a very serious nature emanated from the new Resorts World venue on Saturday after a fire broke out.

The freshly opened complex – which is set to play host to residencies from the likes of Katy Perry and Celine Dion later this year – was engulfed in smoke as the Clark County Fire Department attempted to quell the flames.

According to reports, the fire broke out in the storage area of the venue (which housed building and mechanical materials). Thankfully, it was extinguished without injury or fatalities.
The incident is not expected to cause delays for the incoming shows set to take place at the venue.
