It’s official! A new Pop Smoke project is on the way – and sooner than you may think.
Full story below…
After much speculation and teasing, a 17-track LP was announced along with a July 16 release date.
The news was trumpeted via a trailer:
The as-yet-untitled set will serve as the sophomore offering from the MC, Pop, who was aged just 20 at the time of his shocking death.
Tragically, his debut effort ‘Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon’ arrived posthumously.
Still, it managed to dominate the music landscape upon its release in July 2020.
Indeed, the set earned the title of the longest-running Billboard #1 Hip Hop/R&B Album since 1990 and landed the #1 spot for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 tally. It also topped the charts in the UK too.
Home to multi-platinum hits such as ‘The Woo’ and ‘What You Know About Love,’ the LP has amassed worldwide equivalent sales of over 7 million units.
Suffice to say, the follow-up will be arriving amidst ample momentum.
Another pop smoke album, again?
Allow this dude to rest
I hate that he was killed over something so senseless. He would be on top of the world right now
