After a 13-year silence on the matter, Britney Spears set the media on fire last week with her detailed description of the restraints of her conservatorship by elaborating on the alleged abuse the legal arrangement has empowered her father to wield.
Yet while the ears and hearts of the world were extended to the 39-year-old as a result of her impassioned plea to a judge to bring the court-ordered circumstance to an end, there’s at least one person who wasn’t as moved apparently: the judge.

“New court documents that were filed by the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (June 30) show that the judge has denied the request by Spears’ attorney, Samuel Ingham III, to remove her father, Jamie Spears, as her sole conservator.
“The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice,” the court documents state.
Wednesday’s court filing states that the court found Spears to be “substantially unable to manage his or her financial resources or to resist fraud or undue influence.”
However, it’s significant that the document was signed by Judge Penny on June 30 — after the singer’s explosive testimony where she told the judge that her conservatorship was ‘abusive.'”

You say that like you know her but yet she can put on shows night after night for sold out crowds and hang from ceilings and s***. I think Brit is just fine. Her dad is just a greedy piece of s***. If something like this happened to me my family would step in and take over but also still treat me like a human and make sure I’m good. Not the opposite. If she was treated like the hard working woman that made all this money through the years, she definitely wouldn’t be filing documents and speaking out about s*** she’s held in for so long.
