Beyonce may sit as the most-awarded singer of all time at the GRAMMYs, MTV VMA, BET, and NAACP Image Awards, but – despite lending TV some of its most memorable musical moments over the last decade – the diva’s overflowing trophy case remains devoid of an EMMY.
And, as the newly announced 2021 Primetime EMMY nominations reveal, that won’t change any time soon.
Nearly two years after dominating headlines for her worst EMMY snubs to date (see: Netflix special ‘Homecoming’ losing in every category it was nominated in), Beyonce’s fans – affectionately called the #Beyhive – were optimistic her critically acclaimed 2020 Disney+ special, ‘Black is King,’ would reign as a redemptive listing among competitors in this year’s nominations’ tally.
However, once the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences unveiled the list Tuesday (July 13), Bey’s name was totally absent – sending the fan group into an uproar.

As of time reported, Bey has not responded to the highly publicized snub.

You know f**k the Emmys/Oscars You know the Black Is King should have been nominated for several nominations and I’m tired of how she being snubbed. As Adele stated what the F**k does she have to do. She needs to pulled a what the weekend did.

Maybe next time/project. Until then I doubt that she is pressed. You can’t get nominated for every project, if so that would be highly suspect and would give nothing to strive for. I’m sure she and reasonable hive members understand that. I’m a huge Beyonce fan and although I love the music, I honestly never made it through the entire Black is King film. I think the lack of a nomination will just motivate her even more. Thank goodness she still has goals and accomplishments or accolades to strive for, it will only keep her on her A game. At this point there is no need for her to compete with anyone but herself.
Lies. She is pressed. Beyonce no longer cares about sales. Been there, done that! She’s focused on CRITICAL ACCLAIM and CULTURAL IMPACT. You better believe Beyonce wants to be an EGOT. At this point HER will get there before her. Everyone knows Beyonce is CALCULATED. There is always a method to her madness. If she wasn’t pressed she would drop the music traditionally and keep it moving.
I didn’t say she wasn’t driven or motivated, I think she is. Everyone needs something to strive for just to keep them going. While Beyonce will always be driven (that’s just her nature) I think she knows how to put things into perspective and keep it moving without being pressed, this will only motivate her to keep trying, she’s already accomplished so much but that doesn’t mean she should stop striving for more. I just think there is a difference between being motivated and pressed, one is positive energy while the other is negative. If she was pressed, she’d be only working with writers like Carol King or Diane Warren and making more commercial music, but it seems like she moreso does what she wants when she wants and allows the accolades to come as they may.

My biggest dream in life is for the QUEEN to finally win that Oscar. So far the queens biggest achievement with awards in film is Nomination for Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical
The Queen did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job in AUSTIN POWERS & CADILLAC RECORDS but by far her best performance was in OBSESSED, I was so sure the Queen would win an Oscar for that role especially for all the hospital scenes

An Autistic Singer in Dream girls
Bey played a Homeless Prostitute in Cadilac Records
And even played a Murderer in Obsessed

It still baffles me to this day the Queen didnt win an OSCAR or EMMY Award for playing NALA in LION KING, Bey was responsible for most of the Movies success. Bey worked so hard losing so much weight (over 50 pounds) just so she could fit in that Lion’s Suit. she didn’t use a stunt DBL either and delivered so much raw emotion and conviction like Angela Basett did in WAITING TO EXHALE. She carried the whole entire movie just like she did in Obsessed. My fav scene is when She rescued Simba from his Kid nappers, (that p** and Rodent).
I believe it’s more a race issue that Beys Movie BLACK IS KING wasn’t nominated for emmy. Also the reason why she never been nominated for an Oscar
