I think she just needs to exhaust her options and continue to play on every avenue of her career like Jlo did and she will then have longevity maybe. Y’all people are so miserable lol. Her last album was #1 on iTunes so whatever she’s doing is obviously working. Twitter lights up WORLDWIDE whenever she puts anything out and she obviously doesn’t want to be Rihanna otherwise we’d be listening to fast food throwaway songs lol. Tinashe’s issue is relatability. Black women don’t find her relatable cause she’s a skinny pretty pale biracial girl that’s not from the hood and speaks articulately. We all know the American black community doesn’t like white girls (n*gas do, but not their music just the WAP) and especially hates Africans from the continent, making Tinashe a product of two sworn enemies. The self-hating blacks don’t like her cause she doesn’t have colored eyes like Beyoncé or Rihanna smh. White people are apprehensive because her name is too African. If she was Jessica Jones it’d be a different story. Songs for you was cool but my favorite singles were the first 3 she released… idk. I think Tinashe should stay indie but mix in with some of the hot producers out right now. Songs like “No Drama” and “So much better” is her in a Nutshell in opinion.. She needs to get back to that.
I haven’t liked anything Beyoncé’s put out since Single Ladies (and the only album with no skips is…never mind she had that weird song about her daddy on dangerously in love). Everybody doesn’t have to like everything!
