Currently riding the wave of success with singles such as ‘Kiss Me More’ and album ‘Planet Her,’ the slot is a super coup for the multi-hyphenate star.
Doja is up for five awards at the VMAs, including two of the event’s highest honors – Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
Thus far, the night’s performers include Chloe Bailey, Lil Nas X, Camila Cabello, Lorde, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Shawn Mendes, and Twenty One Pilots.
