Musgraves’ ‘Star-Crossed’ LP – preceded by the singles ‘Star-Crossed,’ ‘Justified,’ and ‘Simple Times’ – has debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart with 77,000 units.
Of that sum, 47,000 units were from pure sales while the remaining 30,000 units came from streams (38.23 million on-demand streams).
As a result of the huge sales, Musgraves earns her career best sales week on the chart. It tops the first week sales of her 2015 album, ‘Pageant Material,’ which debuted with 60,000 units.
Moreover, ‘Star-Crossed’ becomes her fourth top 5 effort following ‘Same Trailer Different Park,’ ‘Pageant Material,’ and ‘Golden Hour.’
It is also worth noting that ‘Star-Crossed’ only follows Drake‘s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ (236,000 units) and Kanye West‘s ‘Donda’ (79,000 units) on this week’s chart.
