Americans don’t care about any girl group

      • truthteller September 2, 2021

America doesn’t care about girlbands but yet most of the biggest girl groups of all time from The Supremes to The Pussycat Dolls have come from America. How come BlackPink and Twice can score a Top 10 Stateside with their latest albums while Little Mix barely scraped the top 100?

We’re talking about Right Now, not yesteryear.

As for Black Pink, top album and then boom straight out. To be fair, they’ve barely done any stateside promotion. Sans album one and two, their music has never really been properly serviced to US Radio. In America you to have appearances on radio and prime time TV to cut through.

There’s enough space for everyone to have success in their own way. There isn’t even a mainstream girlgroup active in the US that regularly make top 10 appearances right now

Good thing you didn’t mention the rest of the world, as that would have really ticked them off.
