Taylor Swift has a reason to celebrate.
The ‘Love Story’ songstress has just scored a second week at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ and has created a new record along the way.
More details below…
On this week’s chart update, Swift’s ‘Fearless’ returns to #1 due to strong sales. In total, it sold 152,000 units with 146,000 units from pure album sales – this is due to the vinyl being released as well as signed CD’s being sold. The remaining 6,000 units came from streams (8.72 million streams ).
However, Swift has reached a huge feat with her return to the top of the chart. She has now scored the largest positional jump to #1 for a female artist as ‘Fearless’ rose from #157-#1. The largest leap still belongs to The Notorious B.I.G. whose ‘Life After Death’ rose #176-#1 in 1997.
Additionally, Swift continues her reign as the female artist with the most weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart with 53 weeks. Only The Beatles (132) and Elvis Presley (67) have more.
