John Legend Signs New Deal With Republic Records After 17-Years at Columbia

John Legend has turned a new page in his career.

For, the EGOT winner has departed Sony’s Columbia Records – his label home of 17-years – and signed a seismic new deal with Universal’s Republic Records.

The ‘All Of Me’ chart-topper joins a roster that includes Drake, Ariana Grande, and Post Malone.

Speaking on the pact, Legend said in a statement:

“I am excited to partner with Republic Records in this next chapter of my career. Everyone at the label has been so wonderful to work with. I am thrilled to take this new artistic and creative journey with them and look forward to sharing new music with people soon.”

Republic Records President, West Coast Creative Wendy Goldstein added:

“There’s just no one like John Legend. He’s the consummate 21st century superstar whose impact across culture and the world at large only continues to expand. We’re so honored to join forces with him as he launches this next era with some of his most powerful music yet.”

Legend is wasting no time unwrapping new material either.

He’s released a holiday single, ‘You Deserve It All.’

The festive track is being turbo-charged by a partnership with LG. For, it’s featured in a Holiday Campaign entitled, “Legendary Gift: The SIGNATURE.”
