Two of R&B’s most legendary voices – Queen of Funk Chaka Khan and GRAMMY Award-winning powerhouse Stephanie Mills – have signed on to square off on #VERZUZ!

After Mills took to ‘The Breakfast Club’ over the summer to report she and Khan were set to do a VERZUZ but the platform’s organizers “weren’t interested,” it appears the latter’s had a change of heart.
Taking to Instagram Saturday night (November 13), the verified VERZUZ account – as seen above – sent old school R&B lovers into a frenzy with official news the iconic divas will be bringing their respective brigade of hits to the battle platform.
Set for next Thursday (November 18), the holiday-inspired edition will stream live on Triller from Los Angeles’ The Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Love them both equally but Chaka had bigger hits, especially if she goes into the Rufus Era. Both of them covered Prince songs, interestingly. I know Chaka will play I Feel For You but not sure if Stephanie will play her version of How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore. Either way it will certainly be a soulful showdown!
