According to Billboard, her most recent album – ’30’ – has now sold 1 million pure copies in the United States.
The album first debuted with 692,000 units in its first week and then went on to sell another 225,000 units in its second week.
Notably, the most recent album to cross the 1 million sales mark was Taylor Swift‘s ‘Folklore’ from last year. As of reporting, pure sales for ‘Folklore’ stand around 1.55 million units.
Selling a million copies is a rarity these days. Only three albums in 2019 were able to reach this feat. Harry Styles‘ ‘Fine Line,’ Billie Eilish‘s ‘When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go,’ and Swift’s ‘Lover.’
In 2018 only one album sold one million units: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack.
Adele’s ’30’ contains the chart-topping hit ‘Easy On Me’ and the top 5 hit ‘Oh My God.’

TGJ need to get a handle on the comments section. Nothing but Trolls bringing in other names and bashing other artists when the post isn’t even about them. Adele selling well has ZERO affect on Normani, Camilla, Nicki, Cardi, Taylor etc. You name them. They all have the ability to coexist and thrive. They aren’t enemies. They’re ALL very talented people. Just because Adele sells 1million albums doesn’t mean she’s any better than another artist. She’s not taking food off of anyone else’s plate. Stop pitting women against each other.
