Big Boi is getting candid.

The OutKast member is now teasing a potential documentary from the group.

More details below…

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Big Boi appeared alongside Sleepy Brown, where they were asked if they have looked back on their achievements. To which, Big Boi said:

“Oh absolutely, man. I just so happen to be in possession of the last OutKast tours from 1998 to 2000-whatever. Like, hours and hours and hours. We had to watch [and] digitize the footage for, like, a month and a half. We had to sit through there and watch it. I got the greatest OutKast documentary, never sold. Locked in the vault.”

As for if the project will see the light of day anytime soon, it appears unlikely.

“I told [André 3000] I got it. … I just told him how dope it was and so we’re gonna hold it for a minute. But it’s outta here, man. It’s outta here.”

As for what the documentary contains, he revealed that it will feature the ‘Hey Ya’ hitmakers freestyling in Atlanta hotels while on the road among other scenes.

There is currently an edit of the footage, but Big Boi went on to say that moving forward, the best move would be a series.

So if we’re not gonna see it then what’s the point of telling us about it? We haven’t gotten an album in 15 years and the best they can do is a documentary we may not even see?? This was pointless.
