With 2022 quite literally around the corner, the New Year brings with it the eagerly awaited release of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ sequel.

Christened ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ the blockbuster has the world in deep anticipation for a number of reasons – including the mammoth success of the first film, as well as the answer to how the movie will deal with the real-life loss of the late Chadwick Boseman (who took on the titular role).

Now, the masses will also have the musical facet of the film to look forward to too ahead of its November 11 2022 release.

Find out why below…

According to a new report, execs have lined up an eclectic list of names to contribute to the ‘Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack.

Word is that “[they have] finalized the storyline so have started courting artists to start writing songs with it in mind.”

Solange, Doja Cat, Giveon, The Weeknd, Brent Faiyaz, and UK rapper Stormzy are just a few of the stars who’ve reportedly been contacted for possible involvement.

A source told The Metro:

“Doja Cat is one of the artists who is in line to perform on the soundtrack because of her South African heritage. The Weeknd, Solange and Stormzy are also being considered as the producers want a wide range of smash hit artists to make this soundtrack bigger than the first.”

It’s little surprise that major efforts are being made to curate an epic soundtrack given how well-received the 2018 original was. That LP housed the Kendrick Lamar and SZA smash ‘All The Stars’ – which was nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe, and multiple GRAMMYs.

As for the names said to be in the mix, we’re here for ’em! Are you? Also, are there others you want to see onboard? Let us know…

Don’t they realize the cat lady doesn’t identify as black or half black allegedly? She hates her own people allegedly. Did everyone forget that? And now she’s suddenly a POP star and not a rap star. Wake up.
