On January 9, a fire tore through a 120-floor tower in her native area.
The chaos claimed the lives of 17 people and many more were hospitalized due to their injuries. Collectively, those affected ranged from as young as just 2-years-old to 50.
Now, it’s emerged that Cardi has stepped up to pay for the funeral and burial costs of those who died.
Speaking to TMZ, the rapper said:
“I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal.”
Much respect to Cardi.
