On the latest UK chart update, ‘Peru’ is currently leading the race for the #1 spot, thanks to strong CD sales. More importantly, if the song achieves this feat, then it would become the first Nigerian song to claim the top spot on the UK charts.
Elsewhere, it would become Fireboy DML’s first-ever #1 single on the charts. As for Sheeran, it would be his 14th.
He previously scored a slew of #1 hits last year, thanks to songs such as: ‘Shivers’ and ‘Bad Habits.’ The latter became the longest-running single of the year there.
