Case in point, she has now legally filed to change her name.

In new court documents, she has requested to now legally go by the name of Kelly Brianne. Previously, Brianne had been her middle name, but now it is getting an upgrade to last name status.
In the documents, Clarkson claims that the new name is more reflective of who she is now.
The name change comes after many life-changing events for the ‘Stronger’ singer, such as her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
It is unconfirmed if her many ventures – e.g. ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ – will be re-branded under the new manicure or not.

I think this is just “legally” not her stage name. Shes divorcing so she wants another name now, fair enough. I doubt she would change her show name and music name, although she’s a multi multi millionaire who never needs to work again so good for her!
