Though hot on the promo trail in support of her latest album, ‘Good Morning Gorgeous,’ Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige is still soaking up all the laud and applause from her contribution to Sunday’s slamming Super Bowl Halftime Show (February 13).
A standout as the only lady on the star-studded roster (which also included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent), Blige brought her classic hits ‘Family Affair’ and ‘No More Drama’ to their largest audience yet via a 2-minute set.
For those who feel her time with the guys wasn’t long enough, Mary not only agrees but also approves suggestions that the six-some take the historic Hip Hop act on the road.

While chatting with ‘The Breakfast Club’ on Power 105.1 on Thursday (Feb. 17), Mary ecstatically agreed the Hip Hop heavyweights should join forces on a nationwide tour.
“I would love to! Absolutely,” she said. “That [my Super Bowl performance] was two songs. Imagine I have a two-hour set? I’m performing two hours every night of all the Mary J. Blige songs on a tour like that. Come on. With me, Kendrick, Dre, Eminem, 50? That’s ridiculous.”

Although Em, Kendrick, 50, and Snoop may not be slated for a musical venture with MJB in the foreseeable future, her ‘Family Affair’ producer Dre is. In the jam-packed interview, Mary – though promoting her February 11-released studio album ‘Gorgeous’ – revealed she already has her sights set on its follow-up.
Just days after Dr. Dre took to ‘TMZ’ to confirm he’s working with the R&B diva on a new LP, she confirmed the news on ‘Breakfast Club.’
‘That was something I’ve always wanted to do…a produced album by Dr. Dre,’ she revealed at the video’s 4:15 mark. ”Everything he does, you know you’re going to get smashes and you know it’s going to be excellent because everything Dre does is amazing. It’s a dream come true for me: I wanted him to produce an album for me.’
As of time reported, no official release date is tied to the Dre/Mary project.
At this point, Mary should be doing festivals. I know she can’t get the backing though. She should leading festivals. Touring gets you money but not festival money. I wish I had the money, Mary’s festival would be huge.
Mary just sold out Barclays center 15,000 seat no opening act in December 2022 so shut the f u k up Mary is set for life with tours after 15 albums she’s built a solid fanbase so again stfu

I express my disappointment in the promo for this album through her TikTok. She allowed the media to portray her as an actress first. I haven’t seen Mary on the tonight show, Kimmel show, Ellen show doing no type of performance. The only performance I have seen was the Iheart performance. These past interview has been about the Superbowl and a brief conversation about the album. She did not promo herself correctly. There was no attempt at promotion for this album. I guess I’ll be waiting on the Dr. Dre era
