Megan Thee Stallion Says She’s “Manifesting” Her Own Super Bowl Show & A Joint EP with Jazmine Sullivan

Published: Thursday 3rd Feb 2022 by Rashad

Having lent her fiery bars to some of the most spun Hip Hop hits of the last two years, Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to seeing her name aboard the ‘feature wish list’ of a number of today’s top acts (regardless of genre).

When quizzed on who she’d like to collaborate with in the future, however, Stallion (born Megan Pete) dropped jaws when she indicated she didn’t just want to drop a song with GRAMMY nominee Jazmine Sullivan; she wants to do an entire project!

Details inside:

As the Hot Girl Coach is the star of the Super Bowl commercial for Frito-Lay in promotion of their Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and recently unveiled Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch product lines (as we reported here), she’s tackled TV, Web, and print in their support.

While chatting it up with our friends at ‘Entertainment Tonight’, the GRAMMY winner expressed her excitement over the endorsement and admitted she hopes it won’t be the last her fans (affectionately called #Hotties) see of her at the big game.

“We’re gonna manifest that Megan Thee Stallion will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show soon, whenever they will have me. But we will manifest that so remember this day, hotties! We said we were gonna perform at halftime,” she said.

Until then, Meg’s content with cheering on this year’s jam-packed halftime show headliners (Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar) from the stands.

“I am very excited for the Super Bowl halftime show, this will be my first year actually attending the Super Bowl too,” she shared. “Like this is such a historic event. I’m so ready, like, this is such a big moment for hip-hop, so I’m excited.”

A future headlining slot at the Super Bowl isn’t all Meg’s manifesting, however.  Admittedly hard-at-work on her next album, the follow-up to 2020’s chart-topping ‘Good News,’ the Hot Girl Coach – who is also promoting an endorsement with fashion brand Coach for its Spring 2022 collection – told ‘ET’ her fans should expect to be surprised about her musical offerings this year.

“I definitely been a little absent on social media ’cause I’ve been getting my mind right, I’ve been working on my music,” the hit rapstress revealed. “So this year when I finally do pop back out it’s gonna be like, ‘She was really working.'”

Among the work that she wouldn’t mind bringing to life is a duet EP with highly revered R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan (who is gearing up for the re-release of her own critically acclaimed, 2021-released comeback EP ‘Heaux Tales’).  Talking to Billboard, Meg shared:

“Me and Jazmine Sullivan would definitely have some stuff to talk about. We’ll have the girls crying, we’ll have the girls screaming, we’ll have the girls dancing, we’ll have the girls sipping wine, [and] sitting in the backyard sipping cognac. The men better go run and hide if me and Jazmine Sullivan do an EP, so that’s actually a really good idea. We need to get that in the works.”

I could see jazmine doing this with another female rapper, not Megan. Doesn’t seem like a good match. But it’s cool she mentioned her.
