Roddy Ricch has pulled the plug on his social media pages after his attempt at previewing new music saw the material slammed by listeners.

Full story below…

The MC, who released his sophomore album ‘Live Life Fast’ in December, took to Twitter to share a snippet of an unheard song. A move that seemed to align with his promise to release more new music following the “mild” response to the LP.

He captioned the clip “for your ears only” and it certainly took on a new meaning for those who heard it early. Because after less than favorable feedback, the 23-year-old briskly deleted the tweet:

A user captured the clip:

Shortly after, Roddy deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram. Before the move, he posted to IG stories saying:

“Guess I’m a flop now. Sh*t crazy”

Roddy’s actions have polarized. For, while some stress that artists need to have thick skin to sustain in the industry, others point to his young age and the necessity to ensure wellness with acts in a field that is like no other.

With that, what are…

Most of the current “celebrities” are either introverted empaths or bipolar psychos. No in between lol

I actually like Roddy. I like his style and the way approach his own sound! Sadly we have people that looks past artistry and insist others be a certain way oppose to accepting them for the masterpieces they create and the efforts behind the music of projects.

Agree! I feel if Roddy would have came out about 10 yrs ago, he’d be much bigger, before drill music became the standard sound for Mainstream Hip-Hop.

The other issue…he has somewhat abandon his drill fans by working w/ DJ Mustard repeatedly. You can’t do this without 1st establishing a loyal base who’s going to rock w/ you no matter what.
