As if being part of a historic collective to rock the 2022 Super Bowl wasn’t enough for one week, Snoop Dogg continues to score as reports ring out about his involvement in ‘American Song Contest’ – the Stateside edition of the globally-renowned singing competition, ‘Eurovision Song Contest.’

The highly anticipated musical talent show, hosted by Snoop alongside Kelly Clarkson, was announced via a high profile ad during the Super Bowl Sunday (February 13). A venture from the producers of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ and ‘Eurovision Song Contest,’ the forthcoming NBC live series will premiere March 21 and run for eight weeks until the Grand Final on May 9.
Featuring 56 performers – which includes representatives from all 50 states, Washington D.C., and five U.S. territories – competitors (bands, solo artists, or duos) will face off for the chance to win the country’s vote for the “best hit song.”
“I have been a fan and love the concept of Eurovision and am thrilled to bring the musical phenomenon to America,” Clarkson shared in a statement. “I’m so excited to work with Snoop and can’t wait to see every state and territory represented by artists singing their own songs.”
Taking to her daytime talk show Tuesday (February 15), ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ the GRAMMY winner reiterated her excitement.
