With a career that spans over 6 decades, Queen of Rock N’ Roll Tina Turner reigns as one of the most popular singers in the history of recorded music.

Despite an enduring admiration from fans and peers, however, the elusive icon – now 82-years-young – has no regrets about bowing out of the limelight to enjoy her well-earned retirement with husband/music executive Erwin Bach.

The lovebirds, who have been married since 2013 (but together for over 30 years), reiterated the stance in a rare interview featured in the newest edition of German magazine ‘Madame.’

In a recently unveiled interview conducted by Alexandros Stefanidis, Tina talks about her incredible career, resilience, love life, and coping with hard times (including the current global health crisis).

“In difficult times, we often have the feeling of being stuck in a cold winter.  A winter that seems endless. But despair is not good counsel, while hope is,” she told the mag.

Accompanied by never-before-seen photos from Turner’s 82nd birthday in November, the chat with Stefanidis also sees Turner praise her husband Erwin for his role in helping her learn to love herself.

“It has enabled me to accept my mistakes and imperfections, to appreciate both the difficult times and the good times and the hurts of the past to let go. Accepting yourself as you are is true freedom,” she revealed.

And while the Switzerland-residing diva may not be big on press these days, that doesn’t keep her name out of headlines (for good reasons, of course).  She ended 2021 with critical acclaim for her HBO documentary, ‘Tina,’ as well as accepting the second induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame of her career.
