When it comes to this year’s category, there could be a lot of history that potentially could be made. Tony Bennett could become the oldest winner ever at 95-years-old. However, all the signs are pointing toward Rodrigo sweeping many of the main categories this year, proving she truly is in the driver’s seat.

Serving as legendary group ABBA’s first and only GRAMMY nomination to date, it is only right that they should be given their flowers. After taking a 40 year break and leaving a lasting impact on music, they came back with their stellar ‘Voyage’ album. However, beyond their legacy, this song is just outright great. It’s triumphant and serves as a victory lap for a group that will forever live as one of the greatest in music history.
Dark Horse: Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga – ‘I Get a Kick Out of You’
2022 could be the year that music legends come back to claim their thrones. Case in point, a real contender for this category is Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga. Both artists are beloved by the Recording Academy with the two of them totaling 31 awards. Pair that with the fact that the GRAMMY’s love a throwback sound, and that this is Bennett’s last album and you have the makings of a true dark horse contender.
