Mariah Carey is hitting back at her brother over a lawsuit he filed against her.
As reported, Morgan Carey took issue with the songbird over claims she made about him in her memoir, the New York Times Best-Seller, ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey.’
Mimi asserted that her brother sold drugs, physically assaulted their Mom Patricia, hired a hitman, and was a drunk.
The 62-year-old was less than impressed and sued his sister for defamation – listing 16 counts, 14 of which were thrown out by a judge.
Now, Mariah is turning the tables.

On Tuesday this week (March 22), the ‘We Belong Together’ songbird filed paperwork in the Manhattan Supreme Court seeking the cost of legal fees.
Her filing adds that she is primed to triumph in the case because the parts of her book Morgan argues are libelous “are true or substantially true.”
It’s further added that Mariah’s claims about her brother were not “with actual malice.” Morgan is tasked with proving malice was involved to win his case.
Suffice to say, this isn’t the end of the saga.
