Per Variety, organizers for the 94th Academy Awards are “in deep talks” with Queen Bey’s camp for a special performance at this Sunday’s ceremony.
The superstar singer is nominated alongside Dixson for Best Original Song for ‘Be Alive’ from the critically acclaimed movie ‘King Richard.’
Led by Will Smith, the film serves as the biopic of Richard Williams – the father of tennis icons Venus and Serena Williams.
In homage to the narrative, it’s being discussed for Bey to deliver a blazing performance live from tennis courts in Compton, California where The Williams’ story began.
Citing three individuals with knowledge of the talks, the concept “began solidifying last Monday.”
There’s said to be a possible scenario that would see Smith feature visually in the spectacle – which could possibly open the show
Time will tell if it comes to fruition.
The Oscars 2022 air this Sunday, March 27, on ABC at 8pm ET.

And regarding the Lion King album, sonically speaking, it was very disappointing. For a « lover letter to Africa » it was lacking signature sounds.
She’s still the best performer around hands down. Looking forward to whatever comes next.
