Few icons boast a career and a reach as resonating as the late, great George Michael.

In commemoration of what would’ve been the singer’s 59th birthday (June 25), Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing, are unleashing ‘Freedom Uncut’ – a feature documentary exploring the intricate layers of his seismic career to his personal life and more.

Showcasing never-before-seen footage filmed during the creation of his top-selling solo albums ‘Faith’ (1987) and ‘Listen Without Prejudice: Vol 1’ (1990), the doc will also spotlight George’s private battles with the rigors of fame as well as feature interviews with the late star’s celebrity friends Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Naomi Campbell, Nile Rogers, Jean Paul Gautier, and more.

Co-directed and produced by George’s friend David Austin., the feature-length documentary will be released as a global cinema event on June 22.

Ahead of its premiere, a first-look trailer has been unwrapped. Watch below…
