Lil Nas X Says He’s ‘No Longer Gay’ After Major Snubs at 2022 GRAMMYs: ‘That Sh*t Hurt My Feelings’

Published: Tuesday 5th Apr 2022 by Rashad

Armed with five nominations including mentions in the Album, Song, and Record of the Year categories, Lil Nas X was expected to take home at least one trophy at Sunday night’s GRAMMYs (April 3) for work found aboard his headline-grabbing debut album, ‘Montero.’

By the night’s end, however, X had only hit the stage once and that was to perform a high octane medley of his hits ‘Industry Baby’ and ‘Call Me By Your Name.’

After not hearing his name called for one award, the singer-rapper – who ironically joked earlier he would resign from “the illuminati” if he lost – took to Twitter to respond to the shut out with even more jokes.

Look inside to see what he said:

LNX got his fans talking when he announced his disappointment with the losses Sunday night.

The sentiment was echoed in a video the singer-rapper lifted to the platform in which he performed an impromptu song (seen below).

“I ain’t win no Grammys, that s–t hurt my feelings, that s–t finna make me cry,” he sang exaggeratively. “Zero out of five, that’s how many Grammys I won. That s–t made me cry, that s–t me cry.”

By the end of his brigade of tweets, X reveals the snub only encourages him to work harder in the future.

Meh I’m usually ok with his trolling but this was a bit cringey

I thought for sure Industry Baby with Jack Harlowe or Montero would win. The album Montera was one of the best this last year.

Lol they must not have told him that the grammys got rid of the old grammy board that picked and chose their own favorites, this year the winners were actually chosen from the actual number of votes from the industry members. Shuckin and jivin aint gonna cut it no more kid, the grammys are actually voting on talent from now on lol.
