Lizzo is back and for many of her fans, her new single ‘About Damn Time’ is all sorts of apt.
Wasting no time hitting the promotional trail, the performer’s latest stop was the New Music Daily show with Zane Lowe on Apple Music.
Chopping it up with the veteran host, Lizzo opened up about the song, her incoming album ‘Special’ (which she revealed was initially meant to be titled ‘In Case Nobody Told You’), working with music maestro Max Martin, and diving into Disco on the project.

Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’ is out now and will receive its first live performance on Saturday Night Live this evening (April 16).
‘Special’ arrives via Atlantic Records on July 15.
