Moments ago, the Canadian performer was handcuffed in court and remanded after his bail was increased.
Why was it increased?
The LA judge ruled that the star violated the protective order that was implemented after he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon following the July 2020 incident that saw Megan left with a bloodied foot.
Per the ruling, it was deemed that the direct address (“U”) in the recent tweet below caused the violation:
Following the ruling today, bail was bumped up to $350,000 and Lanez was taken into the custody of the Sheriff’s Department.
Prosecutors requested that bail not be granted and that, if it was, Lanez be ordered to pony up $5 million.
Word is that he’s processing bail at the time of this report.
