Drake is the latest major name to have inked a seismic new deal with Universal Music Group, according to a new report.

Per Variety, the Hip-Hop titan has re-upped with UMG in a major way.

The expansive, multi-faceted pact is said to encompass recordings (keeping Drizzy at longtime label Republic), publishing, merchandise, and visual media projects.

Much like The Weeknd’s renewed and “expanded” partnership with the industry giant, the MC’s deal (which was disclosed during a Q1 earnings call) is centrally anchored in its fusion of multiple creative lanes and revenue streams.

And while no financial details were shared, a source is quoted as deeming the sum as “Lebron-sized.”

The report notes that Drake has, himself, been referencing coins and contracts of late – possibly hinting at the figures involved.

Indeed, on last year’s ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle,’ the Canadian rapped “Three-sixty upfront, it all comes full circle.” Suffice to say, it’s highly unlikley he’s talking thousands.

On ‘Certified Lover Boy’ song ‘The Remorse,’ the superstar waxes candid about “owning masters,” while on  Migos collab ‘Having Our Way,’ he raps: “Billionaires talk to me different when they see my pay stub from Lucian Grainge” – the latter, of course, being the head of Universal.

Whatever the case, it’s little surprise that Aubrey has been kept in the UMG mix. Easily one of the most successful artists of all-time, he has the added benefit of still being an unstoppable force in the contemporary climate. Unquestionably, Drake has many more wins ahead. And now we know it’ll be with UMG by his side.
