Latto‘s breakthrough hit ‘Big Energy‘ may still be making big moves in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 5 courtesy of continued handsome radio airplay, digital downloads, and streams, but – thanks to the latter two components of chart placement – it’s also finding love over at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Just two months after nabbing a Gold certification for sales of 500,000 in the United States (as we reported here), the RIAA took to press on May 3 to reveal the Dr. Luke-produced song has been elevated to Platinum status for doubling that sum.

Instead of resting on her laurels with the success of ‘Energy,’ Latto is focusing her energy on other tunes found aboard ‘777’ – namely ‘Trust No B*tch’ and ‘Wheelie.’
