In a shocking developing story, rapper Young Thug has been arrested for alleged participation in street gang activity and conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

The MC was detained as part of a larger grand jury indictment that names 28 members and associates of his record label YSL. So too was fellow rapper Gunna.
Per the indictment, YSL (Young Slime Life) is billed as a “criminal street gang” affiliated with the Bloods.
Beyond being charged with racketeering, Young Thug has also stands accused of conspiring to violate a federal law aimed at combatting organized crime.
Within the 56-count indictment, hand gestures and music lyrics are touted as “an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy.”
Among the 28 defendants, charges vary from the above outlined to attempted robbery and even murder.
Responding to the charges, a rep for Young Thug (born Jeffrey Lamar Williams) read:
“Mr Williams committed no crime whatsoever. And we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him.”
As of writing, Young Thug is behind bars at Fulton County Jail and is set to appear in court later today (May 10).
