According to TMZ, the MC and his entourage were flagged by security at a checkpoint as they arrived at the Queens, New York festival.
It was at that juncture that officials say they discovered a firearm (loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition) inside the vehicle Roddy and his team showed up in.
The findings led to the rapper and two folk riding with him being arrested.
Per the report, the 23-year-old was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, and unlawful possession of that weapon.
Roddy’s arrest and ultimate depature from the line-up added to a dramatic chain of events for organizers. Indeed, after Migos mysteriously dropped out (further fueling break-up rumors), Lil Wayne (who was tapped to replace the trio) canceled his appearance citing flight issues.
