Nearly 3 months after the slap heard around the world first shook airwaves, the altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock continues to be a hot topic in Hollywood.
But, beyond Smith’s highly publicized apologies, the two entertainment legends have been fairly mum on the historic incident – a situation Jada Pinkett-Smith is hoping changes soon.
As viewers know, Will’s on-stage assault of Rock came after the comedian cracked a joke about Jada’s bald head (which was later revealed to be the result of a bout with alopecia).
During a recent episode of her EMMY-winning Facebook Watch talk show ‘Red Table Talk,’ Pinkett-Smith dished in detail about the emotional and physical impact of the autoimmune disorder on her life before briefly addressing the infamous Oscars ordeal.

While Jada previously acknowledged the incident in a roundabout way with a quote on Instagram that read, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it” (as we reported here), the June 1 ‘Red Table Talk’ episode comes as her first detailed address of the Oscars slap.
“Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories. I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is,” Jada revealed at the opening of the episode.
Later in the video, the 50-year-old waxed honest about her hopes for the future of Chris and Will’s relationship.
“Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” she added. “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one other more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring this thing called life together.”

Love Jada, I love that their entire family is rich enough to be like ‘y’all hear something?’ throughout this entire thing lmao. You can tell social media thought they would ‘break’ them. They created a whole persona about Jada and she didn’t open her mouth once. Its time for people to stop sharing so much of their lives online cause its just shark territory nowadays.
She’s trash. Will’s trash. And Chris deserved a legit apology months ago, not some vague hope Will will be a human being and maybe one day reach out to the man he humiliated because his wife likes to groom her children’s friends instead of taking care of her actual partner. So trifling.
The only thing I got from Jada response is to watch Red Table talk to see Will & Rock come together. They all need healing. Jada needs healing from her alopecia. Will needs anger management healing. Rock needs to rebuild his Self-esteem from the slap.
