The actress has notably been open about her struggles with alopecia, a health condition that caused her hair to fall out.

It wasn’t even a funny joke, #1. It was dumb. Will Smith is unstable. Physically hitting someone over words is wrong. If you or I did that, we’d be booked on assault charges. This is part of why Hollywood is so out of touch. They’re above the law. It shouldn’t take the Academy so long to investigate or decide how Smith will be punished. Therein lies true privilege. Protecting his queen, blah blah blah. He broke the law and exhibited behavior that would cause a non-celeb to be involuntarily committed. He needs a psych eval.

Chris Rock was wrong to go off script. If he hadn’t he wouldn’t have made fun of a person’s sensitive medical condition. But Will Smith should have used his words not his hands.
