Taking to press, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that her song ‘I Want You Around’ has now been certified Platinum in the United States for the sales equivalent of 1,000,000 units there.
With its updated certification, the song now has the distinct honor of becoming her first-ever Platinum single.
Co-written by Marcus James, ‘I Want You Around’ served as a single from her sophomore effort, ‘Ugh, Those Feels Again.’
The song was a sleeper hit and went on to top the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart in March of 2020.
As of reporting, it is her most successful song on Spotify and Apple Music, where it has amassed over 92 million streams.
Needless to say, a huge congratulations is in order.
