The Pop Stop: Panic! At The Disco, Betty Who, & More Deliver This Week’s Hidden Gems

Published: Friday 22nd Jul 2022 by Ryan

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Panic! At The Disco, Betty Who, Deaf Havana, and Samuel Mancini.

Join us inside…

Panic! At The Disco – Middle Of A Breakup

Panic! At The Disco is back with their latest song, ‘Middle Of A Breakup.’ Serving as the second single from the group’s upcoming ‘Viva Las Vengeance’ album – due out August 19 – the song is a slice of bombastic power-pop with lyrics that reflect the ending of a relationship. A must-hear for fans and new listeners alike, ‘Middle Of A Breakup’ is classic Panic! At The Disco, but with a modern flare.

Betty Who – She Can Dance

Betty Who is gearing up to release her next project called ‘Big’ and in the process, she has shared the latest taste of music from it. Entitled ‘She Can Dance’ the song is euphoric synth-pop that tells details the autobiography of her life. As emotional as it is catchy, ‘She Can Dance’ is a crowning achievement for the singer-songwriter.

Deaf Havana – 19Dreams

Fresh off the release of their sixth studio album, ‘The Present In A Foreign Land,’ rockers Deaf Havana have released one of the year’s most compelling albums. Crafting a potent musical atmosphere that consists of melodic bursts of guitar and soft piano, the band showcases their ability for pop melodies set to rock instrumentals. While it has been over four years since the group’s last album, ’19Dreams’ proves that they have not missed a step, rather they have come back bigger and better than ever. For that, we are forever thankful.

Samuel Mancini – Give It To Me

Billboard charting singer and actor Samuel Mancini has released a series of hit singles over the last couple of years and now he is back with his latest hit, ‘Give It To Me.’ Inspired by Janet Jackson’s ‘Any Time, Any Place,’ ‘Give It To Me’ is a smooth slice of R&B-pop that is complete with a soft backbeat, sensual guitar chords, and handclaps. The best release of his career so far, ‘Give It To Me’ is Mancini at his most sensual, but also his most charismatic.
