Nearly five months after ‘Neighbors Know My Name’ hitmaker Trey Songz saw his name attached to headlines stemming from a whopping $20 million lawsuit based on accusations of sexual assault, the singer has learned there’ll be no further action on the legal pursuit.

As we reported here, a woman claimed Songz sexually assaulted her at a house party in 2016. Identified on legal documents as “Jane Doe,” the allegedly assailed woman also named the GRAMMY nominee as the perpetrator of gender violence, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
Reps for Trey vehemently denied the claims.
According to MyNewsLA, Doe took to the Los Angeles Superior Court in late June to file a motion for the case to be dropped. Earlier this week, a judge granted the request – a move that saw the suit formally dismissed.
As of time reported it’s unclear whether the woman lacked the proof to proceed to court, reached a settlement out of court, or decided to drop the lawsuit for other reasons.
At writing, Songz nor a rep from his camp has made a public statement regarding the dismissal.
