For the second time in her career (following 2016’s ‘Lemonade’), Beyonce – thanks to her July 29-released album ‘Renaissance‘ – sent every song from one studio project to a rung on the Billboard Hot 100.
The same week the 16-track effort landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 with the largest first-week sales of any female act this year, its lead single, ‘Break My Soul,’ mirrored its success on the Hot 100 by blasting to its top position.
Its appearance at the pole position isn’t the only top 20 success the diva’s celebrating this week, however. More inside:
Although all ‘Renaissance’ tracks found placement on this week’s Hot 100, standout entries are those that landed in the top 40: ‘Cuff It’ (#13), ‘Alien Superstar’ (#19), ‘Church Girl’ (#22), ‘I’m That Girl’ (#26), ‘Energy’ (#27), and ‘Cozy’ (#30).
With these, Bey now boasts 47 solo top 40 hits. Only Taylor Swift (86), Nicki Minaj (64), Rihanna (51) and Madonna (49).
More impressively, the 40-year-old’s overall Hot 100 hit count now rests at 81 – the third-most among solo women in the chart’s 64-year history. Only Swift (168) and Minaj (123) boast more, while Drake ranks atop all acts with 276 placements (as of time reported).
