With less than two weeks before its August 28 premiere live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark, it’s (almost) about damn time for the 2022 MTV VMAs!
And if viewers weren’t already excited at news Nicki Minaj, Khalid, and Marshmello would be taking the stage to perform at this year’s edition of the annual affair, the latest additions to the performance roster will send that excitement into overdrive.

Rolled out incrementally in the weeks leading up to August 28, MTV has lifted the lid on the latest set of performers set to grace its VMAs stage.
BLACKPINK, Jack Harlow, Lizzo, and Måneskin are officially slated to join the roster of performers that already includes the previously announced Minaj, Khalid, Anitta, J. Balvin, Panic! at the Disco, Kane Brown, and others with even more to come in the following days.
The performers’ announcement comes just weeks after the network revealed its high-profile list of nominees vying for the show’s coveted trophies. Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow, and Lil Nas X lead with a whopping 7 nominations each, while Doja Cat and Harry Styles follow with six apiece.
