Megan Thee Stallion appears to have another hit album on her hands.

For, the sales of her ‘Traumazine’ album have now been increased.

Taking to press, Hits Daily Double now calculates that the album is set to open with 58,000 total units. That number is up from the original prediction of 40,000-50,000.

As a result of the increase in sales, ‘Traumazine’ is now on course to debut in the top 5 of the coveted Billboard 200 chart, where it is predicted to open at #4.

If it manages to debut in the top 5, then it would be her second studio album to do so. Previously, her debut album – ‘Good News’ – debuted at #2 with over 100,000 total units.

Haters gonna hate and as usual they’re gonna talk s*** but they can never bring a deal to the table 😏 they’re mad because they can’t do half of what Meg has done in 6 years.

    • Dc August 17, 2022

They didn’t put that it will only do about 58,000 that’s such a big increase 🤣

      • Jynkx August 17, 2022

It’s better than zero + she didn’t promote the album before the release. It’s only the beginning, let’s see how it’s going to grow in time.

  2. Shayla Queen™ 👑 August 17, 2022

    Flop

  3. Normila August 17, 2022

    Here for her evolution.
    Less 👅, Aah, and twerking.
When will we have a femcee in couture, French manicures, with a good singing voice and a meaningful message (à la Lauryn)?

  4. Paulo August 17, 2022

👏🏻 that’s nice. But the hotties need to focus on longevity for this album tho

  5. Tiffany co August 17, 2022

Pitiful numbers. Almost half of what her debut album did. She better hope this album has legs. The first single flopped and the second one isn’t getting much traction either.

    • Shayla Queen™ 👑 August 17, 2022

Her is a tragic second single. Just like these album sales.

      • Tiffany co August 17, 2022

It’s not looking good for Megan. She’s clearly more famous than her music. She should expand her portfolio and try acting, twerk classes or sellling body suits.

      • Shayla Queen™ 👑 August 17, 2022

        Omg yes! Lmaoooooooooo! 🤣

  6. PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

For the last 2 weeks, she has had no singles on BB Hot 100. I’ve never seen a star of her caliber release an album and all the singles fall off disappear. Not Sweetest Pie, not Pressurelicious, not Plan B. NONE of her songs are charting. Rod Wave is supposed to do almost 3x that and Megan’s star power is way bigger than his. The numbers and circumstances just don’t make sense.

Even with a leak, there’s been plenty of press. I’m not sure how talk show hosting schedules go, but it’s strange that she was able to get on Jimmy Fallon and GMA with a leaked album…they would have had to change the schedule to move her appearance up because the album was released early, right?

Fans are saying she’s just trying to get through her contract, but then she says she paid $250K for a Future feature and that doesn’t sound like something you’d do if you’re just trying to rush through a contract.

I feel bad for her to be honest. This is embarrassing

    • FAF August 17, 2022

The album didn’t leak it was the cover art

And the 250k came from roc nation I’m sure bc they thought the song would be big but future don’t sell unless he’s on a song with drake

      • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

I don’t doubt it came from RN, but it makes more sense for them to invest that type of money after she’s done with 1501. Why invest that amount of money when it will go to Carl and not RN? This album has too many features and personal/self-reflective songs for me to think she is just putting it out to get out of her contract. I belive this is a serious effort and regardless of the sales, that’s commendable.

I’m cackling at Future’s doesn’t sell unless he’s with Drake because it’s so accurate lmao

    • Jynkx August 17, 2022

      😂

    • Rayoflight August 17, 2022

That’s bc social media makes Meg seem more popping than she actually is!!! People don’t f*** with her like that in real life. The Tory Lanez situation didn’t help matters either. Don’t let social media and the blogs have your minds warped. Roc Nation did a fine job at propping her up and going viral but Megan was never meant for the mainstream. She doesn’t have the appeal no shade!

      • Jynkx August 17, 2022

        😂🤣

      • Detruth August 17, 2022

U are so right I never understood why she is constantly shoved down our throats when the sales and single performances don’t match.

      • Jynkx August 17, 2022

5 projects, 38 singles, 40 platinum certifications in 6 years, albums and singles included. 34 awards, many entries in the billboard 100 and 200.

“Traumazine was met with a very good response from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from professional publications, the album has an average score of 82 based on 9 reviews.”

        😂

      • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

She doesn’t even have a solo Top 10. Any #1s or Top 10s are features or collabs. I don’t care how much RocNation works her; where is the proof that she can be successful on her own?

I see nobody has responded to her not having no songs on Billboard Hot 100 for the last 2 weeks though; album or not. She had songs charting when she didn’t have an album out. Album drops and so do the songs smh. I hope her fans support her more than just with online comments and social media likes and follows.

  7. DaRealHottie August 17, 2022

ALL THESE PUSSSSY ASS H*** SUM HATERS! Prolly stank booty bottom Nicki fans!! Just jealous because Meg is well received and they flop fav is washed up!!!!! Hold onto those chart manipulation tactics Stupid Floppy Girl gonn free fall to the pits of hell in the 2nd week lol.

    • Shayla Queen™ 👑 August 17, 2022

      Shut up b****! Lmaoooooooooo! 🤣

    • Mark Jacob August 17, 2022

Nicki is a vet though. 39 years old and 15 years in the game. Still topping the charts and still relevant. Still the top female rapper of all time. Hell she’s better than 98% of the male rappers. I don’t understand why you’re mentioning her in the same breath as Meghan The Stallion when Good News couldn’t even outsell Queen…. make it make sense? Please?

    • fee September 5, 2022

how she washed up and her one single out did her whole album is sooo slow for you and Meg

  8. Paulo August 17, 2022

😴 Yall be typing these essays when the truth is way simpler – Megan dropped the album unannounced with no strong lead hit – of course the numbers don’t match her presence cause even though she’s famous she’s not at a place to drop an album outta nowhere and sell big. Name one artist that did a surprise drop on their sophomore though!
This era is not going to be a blockbuster event but Megan will be just fine. She ain’t scared of flopping like some who drag their release dates to oblivion

    • Shayla Queen™ 👑 August 17, 2022

      H******** B, we looking at you 👀 lmaoooooooooo! 🤣

      • Dc August 17, 2022

Cardi first album sold 52 million RIAA units albums and singles so when you sell this much you have more control with the label to work and take longer meg first album didn’t even sell 2 million

    • Mark Jacob August 17, 2022

Excuses! no one’s tuning into her releases period. Hotties too worried about what Nicki is doing to stream or purchase Megan’s new project.

      • Paulo August 17, 2022

I’m not worried about Covicki Novax but you go and stream her single before it drops 42 places 2nd week like every song she’s released since Chun-Li

      • coolb August 17, 2022

Queen did 185k during the hate train lol hotties worried about all the wrong s***

      • Paulo August 17, 2022

All the Hotties are worried about is Traumazine having legs and enjoying the album regardless but it’s the Garbz always keeping an eye on every female rapper to pit their fav against them… a queen doesn’t need this much to let people know she’s holding the crown

      • coolb August 17, 2022

@PaulHO — we talk our s*** and can back it up!! These other b****** cant even rap fr. They aint touching the Queen and we aint worried just like nobodys worried about Meg’s flop album !

      • Paulo August 17, 2022

The Grammys say otherwise though! And you wasting all this time on an album you’re not worried about… yikes! But thank you for PaulHO at least that was creative 🤣

    • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

Megan has exactly ZERO songs on Billboard Hot 100 right now, same amount she had last week.
Hopefully y’all care enough about Traumazine to get Megan back on Billboard next week because this is embarrassing.

  9. Liam August 17, 2022

Based on the songs I heard the album has legs of its own with a couple songs being singles and radio friendly.

  10. Theman August 17, 2022

This is good for her. She dropped this album out of nowhere. The promo wasn’t proper. And she didn’t really have a hit single leading into it. She works hard. Nearly 60k is good for a female rapper. Lizzo did 70k with a number one single. Megan has potential hits on her album and she hustles. That’s very good. This isn’t a flop. Also, for rappers especially female rappers it’s different. A lot of her singles are not pop leaning songs. Her songs do good on their formats. Y’all just be hating.

    • coolb August 17, 2022

This is a damn flop for a 3x grammy winner. Yall delusional. She just did Jimmy Fallon and GMA. On the heels of 2 #1 singles. Her last album did 100k which was an underperformance for all her hype to be honest. Queen did 185k during the hate train. I see a bunch of excuses.

      • Theman August 17, 2022

Nicki was already a huge and established artist. Megan was and is still building her fan base. They aren’t comparative. How many female rappers are selling 100k? Only a hand full. Those were very good numbers for her. On top of her scoring a number one hit. She has achieved a lot of success in a short span. She doesn’t just chase hits.

      • Opal August 17, 2022

Meg definitely chaser hits why y’all lie so much… she collab with BTS, Dua, Calvin Harris and they all flopped. I wish y’all leave Nicki’s name out of this mess. Just embarrassing your fav.

    • True Tea August 17, 2022

      @theman

      Agree!

      Success can be relative.

Take NBA YoungBoy. He has no real Billboard hits but his albums consistently sell and he’s always trending. His music also receives very little support on Urban radio.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to the fanbase and their loyalty toward the artist.

  11. True Tea August 17, 2022

Megan doesn’t have major POP appeal but she does well on the Urban format. I wouldn’t necessarily call her a FLOP.

A few Hip-Hop/R&B artists have went Gold/Platinum without massive crossover material.

Jodeci is a prime example, who never enjoyed the same level of success as Boyz II Men.

Megan also has more traction on the Urban format than Lizzo. For an artist like Megan…Gold is indeed a success but for Lizzo, that is a FLOP considering her crossover appeal.

    • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

A lot of that is true, but her label/management is looking for crossover appeal. She isn’t in concert with BTS and doing songs with Ariana and Dua for the urban audience. Her song “Her” isn’t for the urban audiences. They want crossover pop appeal for her

      • True Tea August 17, 2022

She is taken a risk. Once she alienates the Urban format, she is DONE. The POP format has chosen Doja Cat, who seem to have more POP appeal.

The issue with Megan is her her style is way too aggressive for the POP format. So now she’s hoping to gain LGBTQ fans instead of POP.

      • Theman August 17, 2022

Megan does great at her main format. She’s mainly a HipHop/Rap artist. Doja leans more toward the pop side of music. It’s also good to stay loyal to her base while branching out musically for growth as an artist.

      • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

        @True Tea

I’ve heard other people say the same thing but I do think she could be successful at both. I think Cardi is an aggressive rapper but she is successful with both audiences. I think Latto is on her way. Lil Kim did a good job balancing both audiences. I think maybe Megan doesn’t have the best songs to crossover but she definitely could. I don’t think she’s too aggressive to crossover to pop rap.

I absolutely agree with her needing to avoid alienating her urban fanbase but there’s nothing wrong with appealing to a larger fanbase while still keeping the original one

      • True Tea August 17, 2022

For me Cardi is NOT an aggressive rapper. Her delivery/cadence still has Mainstream appeal. She raps over R&B beats, she also rapped over “Rumors”.

Megan raps more like a drill artist IMO.

      • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

        @True Tea

Ah! I think it may be a regional thing? I’m from the South, so Megan sounds like Gangsta Boo, LaChat etc who are aggressive female rappers to some people, but not me. Maybe I don’t hear the aggression because I’m used to Southern female rappers

Cardi is from up north and Cardi, Remy, Eve etc sound aggressive to me. Bodak Yellow is aggressive af but I like Cardi and Remy too! I think Kim can be aggressive and I love her, so aggressive isn’t a slight. I mean, it’s rap after all lol. I understand what you’re saying but I do wonder if it’s a North vs South type thing.

      • True Tea August 17, 2022

You’re right. “aggressive” is subjective. However the most violent and explicit music I’ve heard came out the South.

When I think of aggressive, I think of artists who’s music style is so explicit, the radios refuse to play it or the music is banned from the clubs.

Some of Three Six Mafia music was banned from the clubs since ppl where fighting and killing each other…literally. And we all know how Trina took explicit female rap to a whole new level when she came on the scene.

Megan say she was influenced by Pimp C who’s lyrics are extremely explicit and misogynistic. She literally calls herself the female Pimp C.

      • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

        I see!!!

Aggressive for me is more so the cadence and power that the rapper has. NY/Philly/Baltimore etc accents sound aggressive to me so the rappers always sound aggressive. I guess that’s why I disagree when people say she’s too aggressive to crossover, but I understand it now. It’s not her cadence or her style, moreso her lyrical content. I totally get it now!!

      • True Tea August 17, 2022

You are NOT wrong and I agree with ur views. That’s why I said “aggressive” is subjective.

It depends on perception. Some ppl may think 50 Cent’s music is harder than Young Jeezy, although I believe some would disagree.

Young Jeezy never had the crossover appeal like 50 although he was successful on the Urban format.

  12. Flopazine August 17, 2022

Flop numbers. I thought Meggo was the top rap girl right now?

    • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

I think it wouldn’t be as bad if RN allowed her to grow organically. Them forcing her onto the general public with made up awards (how did Savage win a VMA with no music video 🧐), placing her in strange places like the Oscar’s and all the press making it seem like she’s the new rap queen instead of a new rapper amongst other talented female rappers is the issue. When she’s touted as an A lister, we expect A list numbers. If Latto or Saweetie did these numbers, nobody would care because they’re still developing. Megan’s star power should command at least 75-100K.

There’s space for all the female rappers: Latto, BIA, Coi, Kentheman, Doja, Baby Tate, Megan, Lizzo, Nicki, Cardi, Saweetie, City Girls, Erica Banks….they can all coexist and fans can like more than one. Thee issue is when the label and fans pit them against each other. And especially when the industry tries to make one seem above the others yet they have numbers like this

  13. Craig Nelson August 17, 2022

You all are the most hateful gay men I ever witness comment. Hateful hateful gays. And that grapejucie is ran by a hateful gay man who allows this. I hope God gets all of you for spreading so much hate and sexiest influence towards our women. I hate you all and I will never support such disgusting minded individuals troll smmfh

    • Craig Nelson whining ass f** August 17, 2022

      Bye ashy so stream flopauzine

  14. Feisty 😈 August 17, 2022

I love Megan. She is fun, she is powerful. She represents for women who are warriors, not the oppress or the damsels.

You are envied by the weaker s**, you are envied by the stronger s**. You refuse to play the role of the traditional girly woman who live for the approval of man.

You’re called a man, a t***** for moving into their space and taken over. You are KING 👑

    • PeachKennedy August 17, 2022

I like your message; I really do. But can we normalize calling strong women Queens again? Nothing wrong with being a queen!

It doesn’t make sense to talk about people who call her a man but then turn around and call her a king. She’s still Queen! Queens create history, queens are powerful, queens are regal. You don’t have to be a “king” to be those things. She’s a woman and a Queen.

    • Paulo August 17, 2022

      @Feisty 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  15. Angela Hubbard August 18, 2022

Mannnn that album is so not what’s up. Fans feeling sorry for Meg and I get it. But she put out trash because she feel like she can knowing the teenagers going to buy it. Nobody grown will🤔
