Christina Aguilera Reflects on Surviving Childhood Abuse in Heart-Wrenching ‘No Es Que Te Extrañe’ Music Video [Watch]

From child star to mega Pop diva, Christina Aguilera – now 41-years-old – has spent the majority of her life in the spotlight.

But behind the curtain of the glitz and glamour is a woman who says she is still dealing with and reeling from the trauma of childhood abuse inflicted by her members of her family – namely her father.

“It’s just disgusting and it happens far too much to people…and it is very dear to my heart, because I did grow up in [violence] and am a survivor of it… and I’m affected by it,” Aguilera once said.

And though painful, reflecting on the experience has been a source of therapy for the GRAMMY-winning singer, who recently offered a “peek” into her childhood via the music video for her latest single, ‘No Es Que Te Extrañe,’ which she says is her most ‘personal yet.’

Serving as the latest single from her forthcoming all-Spanish language EP, ‘La Luz,’ watch the emotional, self-directed visual inside.

The cinematic clip arrived just hours before Aguilera took to the stage to perform at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards Thursday night (September 29).

Beautiful song, I love the instrumental.
    Looking forward to the EP.
I haven’t listened much to the 2nd one, because I don’t like EPs, I’m waiting to have the full Aguilera album to listen to it and hear all the sounds she has incorporated.

It’s so interesting to see her release all of these music videos when we were BEGGING for them from Bionic, Lotus and Liberation!! She’s released more music videos in the past year than she had in over a decade!!! WTF

Annoying ass. At least she looks and sounds pretty good
