Ricky Martin has hit back against the nephew that accused him of sexual abuse. And he’s doing so thunderously.

TMZ reports that the music superstar has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Dennis Yadiel Sanchez in San Juan today (September 7).

Per the suit, Martin says he has been “persecuted, besieged, harassed, stalked and extorted by a maladjusted person” who is attempting to “assassinate” the reputation he has worked decades to establish.

Sanchez alleged the ‘Livin La Vida Loca’ performer engaged in a 7-month incestuous sexual relationship with him and went to stalk and harass him after. Claims Martin has vehemently denied.

As reported, the entire case sensationally collapsed almost as quickly as it was brought when Sanchez withdrew his allegations.

Now, though, Martin is the one going the legal route.

In the new filing, the star says Sanchez has been trying to shake him down for money – despite doing away with his legal efforts.

Martin goes on to make a number of shocking accusations.

He asserts that, before Sanchez went public with the false allegations, he publicly boasted about being related to the performer. Characterizing his nephew as a “maladjusted individual,” the suit claims Sanchez pelted Martin with an endless flow of messages on a daily basis for months.

Other worrying behavior saw Sanchez allegedly post Martin’s phone number on social media and create Instagram pages for his children. A move the 50-year-old says he was very disturbed by.

So why $20 million, one may wonder?

Well, Martin makes clear that the salaciousness of the false allegations made for him to lose out on a number of multi-million dollar deals. Further to this, he says he and his family have been made to feel “unsafe” in Puerto Rico where they’ve long lived.

Beyond compensation for the monetary losses and impact on wellbeing, Martin is requesting a judge order Sanchez to cease communicating with him and his loved ones. Immediately.
